Welcome to New Student Orientation
at Kean Jersey City!

Congratulations on choosing Kean Jersey City (KJC)! Register for New Student Orientation to start your transition from an "accepted student" to "climbing higher” as a Kean Cougar in the fall. This required event is designed to help you feel connected with the community and prepared for your first semester - and beyond. 

KJC New Student Orientation on August 24, 2026 is for students enrolling at Kean Jersey City.

The in-person orientation is both informative and interactive. Throughout the day, you’ll join fellow incoming students as you start building friendships, meet current students and campus leaders, and begin to see yourself as part of Kean Jersey City. You’ll hear from University leadership, student representatives, and staff who will share what it means to be part of our community and how to make the most of your college experience. 
 
A major highlight of the day is engaging directly with the people and services that will support you throughout your time at KJC. You’ll also experience Jersey City's vibrant campus culture and resource fairs that showcase the many ways to get involved. You'll also have to opportunity to wrap up any lingering steps to enrollment before the Fall 2026 semester begins.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and formal programming begins shortly after 9 a.m. Advanced NSO registration is required. Up to one (1) guest may attend with you. NSO is required for all students (including commuters), and the cost of NSO is included in tuition and fees.
