In this dynamic lesson demonstration for K-2nd grade, we will guide students through the process of exploring "Holidays Throughout the Seasons" by designing and creating their own parade floats using Minecraft Education. In just 40 minutes, students will work collaboratively to choose a holiday, participate in a lively discussion on various traditions, and then dive into the exciting world of Minecraft to construct a virtual float. Following the virtual creation, students will transition to building a physical representation of their float using crafting materials. This interactive demonstration will highlight key skills such as creativity, teamwork, and technology integration, while also allowing students to share their designs and the cultural significance behind their chosen holiday. Throughout the session, we will assess student engagement and collaboration, ensuring that each learner can express their ideas and perspectives, embodying the spirit of empowered learning and collaborative design as outlined in ISTE standards.
