This session explores how School Library Media Specialists (SLMS) blend impactful learning with play, game‑based learning, STEM/STEAM education, and generative AI through curated play to teach new literacies. Drawing on dissertation research into SLMS perspectives and practice, it offers strategies for facilitating equitable, multimodal literacies and showcases examples from the presenter’s school library. Participants will leave with practical approaches to design reflective, community‑centered play spaces that support 21st‑century skills.
